New Chapter.

Hi there! Today, I’m excited to share my experience with the second generation of the Volvo V70 model from 2003. It’s a beautiful car that I purchased in March 2022 from the first owner in Poland who imported it from Italy in 2019. Although the car had a mileage of approximately 385,000 km, it looked great visually, despite a few old and cracked seals.

The D5 engine with 163 horsepower and the Aisin-Warner AW 55-50 automatic gearbox is a combination that provides excellent performance and smooth driving. However, after purchasing it, I had to deal with a few repairs, including the regeneration of the steering gearbox, replacement of the left wheel bearing, and rear brake discs and pads. Unfortunately, the automatic gearbox also had some problems, so I immediately changed the oil and performed an adaptation.

However, there is nothing better than driving without any issues. And that’s exactly how it was with my Volvo V70 – I didn’t have any problems with it throughout the year of use. Although I had to replace a few neglected parts by the previous owner, such as engine mounts, steering link ends, and stabilizer links. Now, after repairing and replacing most of the faulty suspension components, I plan to work on the car’s body, which has a few parking dents, replace the old seals on the windshield, and polish the entire car.

However, I don’t want to limit myself to just improving the car’s appearance – I also plan to clean the entire interior and replace worn and faded elements. I hope these small changes will allow me to enjoy my Volvo V70 even more.

In summary, I am extremely happy with my Volvo V70, considering its price compared to the extraordinary comfort of the interior and driving pleasure. And the fact that the car is still in great condition only confirms that it was a really successful investment.

Weekend trip.

Hey all you car enthusiasts out there! Today I would like to share with you my impressions from our recent trip to Prague in my Volvo v70. The car we used was in good condition and performed great on the road, so our journey was amazing.

Starting with the departure from Katowice, the Volvo proved to be a solid and reliable car. The route led us through beautiful landscapes, and the comfortable seats and smooth handling made driving very relaxing. Our Volvo may not have the latest technological features, but it doesn’t matter, because it simply drives great.

Despite its age, the vehicle still behaves very stably and confidently on the road. The D5 engine, which generates 163 horsepower, provides enough power to move around the highway and roads leading through the mountains.

Finally, we arrived in Prague and I must say that it was worth it. The city is incredibly beautiful, and Volvo allowed us to see all the most important places in full glory. We were able to move around the entire city without any problems, and driving through congested streets and intersections was not a challenge for us.

In summary, our journey in the Volvo was an amazing experience, and the car proved to be a trustworthy and reliable travel companion. If you’re looking for a car that offers comfort, safety, and reliability, then the Volvo V70 may be just what you need

How it’s started.

Hello car enthusiasts,

I would like to share with you my story related to the Volvo brand. My journey with this brand began in February 2021 when I bought my first car – a silver Volvo V40. It was a model with a 1.9 diesel engine and a mileage of 250,000 kilometers. I paid only 5000 Polish zlotys for this car, which was quite a significant investment for me as a novice driver. However, after the first ride, I knew I had made a good choice.

The production of the first generation Volvo V40 started in 1995 and lasted until 2004. It was offered with a wide range of petrol and diesel engines, including 1.6, 1.8, 2.0, 2.5, and 1.9 diesel. In 1997, Volvo introduced the T4 version, which was powered by a turbocharged petrol engine producing 200 horsepower. The Volvo V40 first generation was one of the first cars equipped with the SIPS (Side Impact Protection System), which consisted of side airbags and reinforced door and sill structures, providing better protection for the driver and passengers in case of a side impact.

Throughout the period of using my Volvo V40, which lasted until April 2022, I had no breakdowns. I did all the repairs myself, which not only saved me money but also allowed me to gain knowledge about the car.

Buying a Volvo was an experience that opened my eyes to the fact that the price is not always the most important factor, but quality and functionality are. Although my car was already used and had over 250,000 kilometers on the clock, it did not cause me any problems, and every ride was a real pleasure.

In summary, my story with the Volvo brand began with the purchase of a silver Volvo V40 for 5000 Polish zlotys. This car turned out to be a perfect fit for me, as it was not only reliable and safe, but also allowed me to gain knowledge and experience related to car repairs and maintenance. If anyone of you is planning to buy a car, I definitely recommend paying attention to Volvo models. This brand is known for its durability, safety, and functionality, and above all – for the passion for motoring.
